Bonanza Billion is BGaming’s first cascading-reels slot, released on 2 December 2021. It pays 95.97% by default, runs on a 6×5 grid with no paylines at all, and tops out at 15,000x the stake.

Wins form from 8 or more matching fruit symbols anywhere on screen. They burst, new symbols drop into the gaps, and the sequence continues for as long as fresh wins keep appearing. This is the template BGaming has reused across most of its Bonanza line ever since.

Position does not matter here. At the end of each spin the game counts every instance of every symbol on the grid, and eight or more of a kind anywhere in view pays. Those symbols then clear, the survivors drop and refills fall from above, with no cap on how many times that chain can repeat inside one spin. With five rows across six reels there are thirty positions in view, so an eight-symbol win occupies a little over a quarter of the screen.

Bets start at 0.20. The published maximum is inconsistent: Casino.guru lists 15 while SlotCatalog lists 20. Since BGaming caps the payout at EUR 225,000 against a 15,000x multiplier, 15 is the better-supported figure, and bet limits are operator-configurable in any case.

BGaming publishes a hit rate of 2.59, meaning one winning spin in every 2.59, or around 38.6%. That sounds generous and it is, but pay-anywhere maths settles most of those wins in small change, and a return smaller than your stake still counts as a hit. Verdict

Bonanza Billion is the original, and it shows its age against its own sequels. 95.97% is the lowest RTP in BGaming’s main Bonanza line, and the x100 multiplier ceiling looks modest now that Bonanza Billion Xtreme reaches x1,000. What it still has is a clean, fast pay-anywhere engine, a 15,000x cap that several of its siblings never match, and a rhythm most players already know. A reasonable starting point if you want to learn the engine cheaply, but it is no longer the strongest version of this maths on offer.
